Purchase An "Affordable Home"

In collaboration with the City of Chicago, and the Chicgo Community Land Trust, Lakeside CDC  will be having a workshop to explain all the available  City Programs to purchase a home,  along with the restrictions and any other information associated with the City Programs.

When combined with the Chicago Community Land Trust, these programs also offer:
• A post purchase support system that includes new homeowner resources, resale assistance and, when necessary, default and foreclosure prevention assistance.
• Lower and more stable property taxes that are based on the affordable price.
• Access to select mortgage lenders offering pre-approved, non-predatory loan products.

Chicago Community Land Trust

Teresa Lambarry, Outreach Director, joined the Chicago Community Land Trust in 2007.  She is primarily responsible for homebuyer education, marketing and post-purchase services.  Prior to joining the CCLT, Ms. Lambarry served as the Program Manager for Spanish Coalition for Housing for 14 years.  She developed and administered homebuyer counseling, budget management and foreclosure prevention services and managed and trained a staff of seven housing counselors.   She planned and coordinated the annual Camino a Su Casa housing fair, one of the largest housing fairs in Chicago.  She is bilingual English/Spanish.
